Google has revealed that it is incorporating new intelligent features into its latest Chromebook Plus laptops, entering the AI laptop market.

The upgraded features include "Help Me Write," an AI-powered tool for text creation and modification, AI-generated videoconferencing backgrounds, the Magic Editor for photo editing, and direct access to Google's gen AI agent Gemini from the Chromebook's home screen.

The background feature is compatible with any videoconferencing app and provides a range of prompts for creating engaging backgrounds.

Meanwhile, the Magic Editor enables users to easily edit objects in photos by tapping, circling, and dragging them, with contextual suggestions for improving lighting and background.

The new Chromebook Plus allows quick access to Gemini with a single tap on the home screen.

Additionally, Google is offering a complimentary 12-month trial of its advanced Google One AI Premium plan to new Chromebook Plus users, granting access to Gemini Advanced, 2TB storage, and Gemini integration in various applications like Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.

Experts believe that Google's focus on AI demonstrates its commitment to dominating the online information realm against competitors such as OpenAI and Microsoft.
