Social Media Usage in MENA Countries (2023)

The Middle East leads the world in social media usage, with several countries in the MENA region surpassing the global average for the percentage of their population using social networking sites.

Globally, the average user is active on 7.2 social networks per month. Internet users in India top this list, engaging with an average of 8.7 platforms monthly.

In 2023, the average number of social media platforms used monthly by internet users aged 16-64 was 8.2 in the UAE, 7.9 in Saudi Arabia, 7.6 in Turkey, and 7.2 in Egypt.
