Salam Technology, ZENDATA Join Forces in $35M Cybersecurity Pact
Global cybersecurity leader ZENDATA has teamed up with Qatari tech giant Salam Technology in a landmark $35 million, five-year agreement to deliver cutting-edge services to companies in Qatar and the Gulf region. This strategic partnership will enhance Salam Technology’s capabilities, equipping it with sophisticated cyber tools and skills to serve top-tier cyber companies. The collaboration aims to boost the region’s cyber maturity, fostering job creation for Qatari and Gulf nationals as the industry expands.
Under the deal, Salam Technology will manage one of the Gulf’s most efficient Security Operations Centres (SOC), powered by ZENDATA. This center will offer Qatari and Gulf companies access to an elite Incident Response Team, international cyber consultants, threat intelligence, unique cyber intellectual property, and ZENDATA’s advanced technology and institutional experience since its inception in 2012.
The agreement also introduces ZENDATA’s innovative ‘SOC as a Business’ (SaaB) model, designed to turn SOCs into revenue-generating centers. This new service allows ZENDATA to collaborate with companies to create customized SOCs, using shared or exclusive resources to achieve top-tier security and unlock new profit streams. Profits are shared between ZENDATA and its clients, making state-of-the-art cybersecurity a mutually beneficial venture. Together, Salam Technology and ZENDATA will act as the first line of defense for private and public entities, companies, and international organizations.
Fawaz Hadid, General Manager of Salam Technology, stated:
"Salam Technology is proud to partner with ZENDATA, a global leader in cybersecurity. With our 72-year legacy of serving Qatar and the region, this collaboration marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to providing exceptional IT and OT cybersecurity services. By combining ZENDATA's cutting-edge technology and expertise with Salam Technology's established presence and deep understanding of the local market, we will be ideally positioned to deliver the most advanced SOC MSSP services in the region."
