Dubai's CAMB.AI Bolsters Speech Localization Tech with $4 Million Seed Investment
Dubai-based CAMB.AI, a pioneering speech AI company specializing in instantly dubbing performances in over 100 languages, announced yesterday that it has secured a $4 million seed funding round.
The investment is led by Courtside Ventures, with participation from TRTL Ventures, Blue Star Innovation Partners, Ikemori Ventures, and Eisaburo Maeda.
Earlier supporters of CAMB.AI include the Dubai Future District Fund, with the company having been part of the Dubai Future Accelerator cohort in 2023 and recognized as a Future 100 Company of the UAE.
This infusion of capital will fuel CAMB.AI’s ongoing expansion, building upon the momentum it has generated since its establishment in 2022.
Over the years, CAMB.AI has shattered numerous technological barriers with its MARS TTS and BOLI Translator, purpose-built for voice localization.
Advanced Translation Capabilities
CAMB.AI’s cutting-edge methodologies not only translate speech but also capture and convey the original speaker’s tone and nuances, preserving emotion with just seconds of input.
This ensures that the translated content retains the power and engagement of the original, faithfully reflecting the speaker’s intended impact.
With the most extensive range of resource languages available, CAMB.AI can translate even lesser-known languages like Afrikaans, Malay, and Basque, underscoring the company's dedication to fostering more inclusive global communication.
Expressing his admiration for the technology, Vasu Kulkarni, Partner at lead investor Courtside Ventures, remarked, “This technology is truly remarkable. Growing up in India, a land of over 700 languages, I saw firsthand how difficult it was to consume the plethora of content out there when you couldn’t understand it. For NBA fans in India to now potentially be able watch Steph Curry while listening to the indelible Mike Breen commentating in Hindi is going to globalize the game even further.”
