The round witnessed participation from MENA-focused DASH Ventures, Annex Investments and Saudi Arabia-based 500 Global and Sanabil Investments, as well as international VC’s, including Aditum Investments, Loyal VC, and Plug and Play Ventures, in addition to angel investors with significant experience in the healthcare sector.

This fundraising will fuel Wellx's growth, enabling continued innovation in new technologies like AI coaching, intuitive design, and emerging tech. Wellx aims to disrupt the insurance industry and offer personalized insurance experiences.

LFP Media Partners with CAMB.AI in a Landmark Multi-Year Deal to Connect Global Fans Through Advanced Language AI Solutions

Camb.ai is announcing two pieces of significant news on Wednesday. The artificial intelligence-powered speech-to-speech translation startup has a new multi-year partnership with LFP, the governing body of French soccer, and, separately, closed an $11 million Pre-Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $15.5 million.

The partnership with LFP, of which financial terms were not disclosed, makes Camb.ai the federation’s official global language solution. This will include providing AI translation services for use-cases ranging from live broadcasts to videos on demand to public-facing editorial content or interviews, according to Camb.ai CTO Akshat Prakash. The sides have been testing Camb.ai’s tech, which through two proprietary models translates and emulates speech in real time, for several months, including around shoulder programming and social media content.

Founded in 2023 by Michael Ghandour, Kema provides a SaaS platform that helps B2B SMEs accelerate and automate cash flow while saving them time and money. The company plans to use this investment to enhance its SaaS platform aimed at supporting the SME segment, scale the solution across the UAE, and hire top talent to support its growth.

UAE-based fintech Holo has announced a seven-figure Seed round, led by Saudi Arabia’s Watheeq Proptech Venture and Hambro Perks Oryx Fund, with participation from Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF), Annex Investments, and Tawaref Angel Network.  
Launched in 2019 by Michael Hunter and Arran Summerhill, Holo aims to simplify the process of owning a home by offering digital mortgage services, where buyers and homeowners can explore refinancing options. The new funding will fuel Holo’s expansion plans into the KSA, set to take place in 2023. Holo is a Wamda Capital portfolio company.

Holo, the largest direct mortgage platform in the Middle East, announces the completion of an oversubscribed funding round.

With Series A funding on the horizon, the company, having surpassed targets, decided to extend an opportunity to investors to further invest in the business through a pre-Series A round. The oversubscribed funding round was headed by DFDF and Oryx Fund, who reaffirmed their commitment with a third investment, with the addition of Aditum Investment Management Limited.

With the injection of capital, Holo is strategically directing its efforts towards enlarging its market presence in the UAE. Furthermore, the funding enables team expansion and the development of key product lines, as well as expanding the company's footprint across the GCC, with an immediate focus on KSA.

NymCard, a banking-as-a-service platform, raised $22.5 million in June 2022, bringing its total funding to $35 million. The Series A round included investors such as DisruptAD, Reciprocal Ventures, Shorooq Partners, Chimera, DFDF, Knollwood, Endeavor Catalyst, and OTF Jasoor Ventures. The company plans to continue enabling Fintechs, SMEs, and banks to create and distribute virtual and physical cards.
