Agriclimate tech company iyris, formerly known as Red Sea, has entered into a strategic partnership with Egypt’s leading producer of agricultural polyethylene film, Hyma Plastic. Under the agreement, Hyma Plastic will serve as the exclusive manufacturer of iyris' SecondSky Greenhouse product in Egypt.

The partnership is aimed at enhancing the availability of SecondSky's heat-blocking technology to Egyptian farmers, improving local manufacturing capabilities and expanding the distribution network. This innovation is expected to help farmers reduce heat stress on crops in greenhouses, thereby boosting crop yield and profitability.

Simon Stockil, Growth Director of EMEA at iyris, emphasized that the agreement will fast-track the deployment of SecondSky AGRI greenhouse films across Egypt, aligning with the company's goal to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions for farmers in hot climates.

Aly Samy Fahmy, Deputy CEO at Hyma Plastic, added that the introduction of this globally recognized heat-blocking technology into their product line addresses a critical need for Egyptian farmers facing significant heat stress in greenhouses. He further highlighted that SecondSky's ease of deployment offers a cutting-edge yet simple solution for growers aiming to improve yield and quality.
