Egypt Geography

Egypt is a transcontinental country located in north-eastern Africa and its Sinai Peninsula in Western Asia.

It is bordered by Libya to the West, Sudan to the South, and Israel and the Gaza Strip to the northeast.

Its location has made it a crucial trade hub between Asia, Africa, and Europe, which was strengthened in 1869 with the construction and completion of the Suez Canal.
