Patrick Jean Gilabert from UNIDO and Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation
The Egyptian government is actively exploring avenues to bolster its collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in several critical areas, including industrial development, eco-friendly initiatives, and the implementation of projects aligning with the Nexus of Water, Food, and Energy (NWFE) program.
A significant step in this direction was taken during a meeting between Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, and Patrick Jean Gilabert, the Representative of UNIDO's Regional Office Hub in Egypt.
Discussions centered on deepening cooperation to advance mutual goals.
The dialogue also delved into UNIDO's ongoing development initiatives in Egypt, encompassing 18 projects with a total worth of $52 million.
Moreover, both parties explored potential collaborations across diverse sectors as part of UNIDO's Program for Country Partnership (PCP) 2021-2025.
The overarching objective of this program is to foster Egypt's inclusive and sustainable industrialization efforts.
