New Jeddah Logistics Park Set to Transform Saudi Trade and Storage Capabilities
DP World, a leading provider of smart end-to-end supply chain solutions, has partnered with the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) to commence the construction of a new logistics park at Jeddah port. Spanning 415,000 square meters, this greenfield facility represents a significant investment of SAR900 million ($250 million).
The logistics park will boast 185,000 square meters of warehousing space and an expansive multipurpose storage yard, making it the largest integrated logistics park in Saudi Arabia. It will accommodate over 390,000 pallet positions, facilitating efficient goods movement to and from Jeddah.
DP World stated that the facility will offer modern storage and distribution capabilities, enhancing trade within Saudi Arabia and the broader region. Established in 2022 under a 30-year concession, the Jeddah Logistics Park will be developed in two phases, with its opening slated for Q2 next year.
In line with sustainable practices, the facility will feature a rooftop solar plant generating 20MW of renewable energy. Additionally, the collaboration between Mawani and DP World extends to managing the South Container Terminal under a separate 30-year concession agreement signed in 2020.
