Nigerian edtech startup Tespire has secured an undisclosed amount of pre-seed funding to further its goal of expanding the use of data-driven educational solutions. Founded in 2022 in northern Nigeria by Abdulkadir Suleiman Labai and Umar Madugu, Tespire focuses on equipping schools with digital tools such as tablets and internet access to streamline administrative tasks.

By helping schools improve revenue collection and simplify management processes, Tespire is laying the groundwork for gathering valuable data that will be used to develop AI-powered personalized learning experiences in the future.

The startup, which has grown from its base in northern Nigeria to Abuja’s emerging tech ecosystem, has also formed strategic partnerships with companies like MTN Nigeria, Flutterwave, and Remita.

The new funding will enable Tespire to expand its services, increase the number of partnered schools, and focus on improving access to quality education for young students.

Co-founder Abdulkadir Suleiman said, "Tespire’s vision goes beyond administrative solutions. We are committed to using data to enhance access to quality education across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, starting with local schools and expanding to national and international markets."
