PureHealth Shifts Strategy with Sale of Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre and Yas Clinic

By Staff Writer, 06 July 2024

PureHealth, the Middle East's largest healthcare platform, has successfully sold its equity interests in the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre (ADSCC) and Yas Clinic Group. This move aligns with PureHealth's strategy to streamline operations and reallocate resources towards more profitable ventures, according to a company statement.

The sale enables PureHealth to concentrate on advancing the specialized healthcare services previously provided at ADSCC and Yas Clinic, now integrated into Sheikh Shakbout Medical City (SSMC). PureHealth recently completed the full integration of SSMC, which stands as the UAE’s premier healthcare complex, known for its cutting-edge stem cell therapy facilities and top-tier clinical expertise.

SSMC, spanning over 300,000 square meters, is equipped with 732 beds and manages a significant annual patient volume. It handles approximately 600,000 patient interactions yearly, including over 445,000 outpatient visits, 130,000 emergency cases, and 27,000 inpatient admissions. The facility operates 162 outpatient rooms and is supported by a team of over 490 physicians across 46 service lines and 12 clinical departments, along with more than 1,500 nurses.

The integration of these services at SSMC aims to enhance the overall operations of PureHealth Group, providing advanced and specialized healthcare services to a broader patient base.
