In 2022, 88% of all passenger cars sold in Norway were electric or hybrid vehicles.
The country is well on its way towards a 2025 target it has set to have 100% of all new car sales be EVs.
The country is home to over 790,000 electric vehicles, which comprises 33% of the country’s entire fleet of cars.
Norway is also home to more EVs and hybrids than it is to diesel-powered vehicles today.
The State of the Electric Vehicle Revolution 2023
Global electric vehicle (EV) stock has surpassed 30 million, and China is home to over half of all the EVs on the world’s roads. 1 in 7 new cars sold last year was electric, and by 2030, we will have 138 Million EVs.
