SVC Report Highlights $1 Billion in Investments, Strengthening Saudi Arabia’s Private Capital Ecosystem

The Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) Impact Report revealed that the total investments committed by the company since its inception amounted to one billion dollars, while total investments, including partners, are estimated at about 4.8 billion dollars.
SVC has invested in 54 funds that have invested in over 800 startups and small businesses to date, including many vital sectors such as e-commerce, fintech, healthcare, education technology, transportation and logistics.
This came in a special report published by the company, which revealed the contribution of the Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) in achieving record growth rates. The report also highlighted the company’s impact on the private capital system (venture capital, private equity, venture debt, and private debt) in the Kingdom since the company’s establishment in 2018.
The report explained that the company's strategy contributed to the Kingdom maintaining its first place in the Middle East and North Africa region in terms of venture capital financing in 2024 for the second year in a row, which reflects the development witnessed by the Kingdom in various economic and financial sectors in light of Saudi Vision 2030 and its goals to strengthen the national economy.
The impact report showed that the SVC strategy has contributed over the past six years to increasing the number of investors in Saudi startups and small and medium-sized companies, encouraging existing and new financial companies to establish venture capital and private equity funds, and stimulating regional and global funds to invest in Saudi startups and small and medium-sized companies.
Commenting on the report, Dr. Nabil Koshak, CEO and Board Member of Saudi Venture Capital Company, said: “We are committed to further stimulating the private capital ecosystem in Saudi Arabia by launching the required investment programs and development initiatives based on analyzing the ecosystem’s needs and following regional and global business models, leading to diversifying the national economy and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.”
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) is an investment company established in 2018 and is affiliated with the Small and Medium Enterprises Bank, one of the development banks affiliated with the National Development Fund.
SVC aims to catalyze and sustain financing for startups and SMEs from pre-seed to pre-IPO stage by investing in private capital funds (venture capital, private equity, venture debt and private credit) as well as direct investment in startups and SMEs.
