RecoMed and Discovery Vitality Join Forces to Enhance Online Healthcare Booking

South African e-health startup RecoMed has joined forces with Discovery Vitality to streamline the booking process for flu vaccines and Vitality Health Checks.

RecoMed, a technology-driven online healthcare marketplace, connects healthcare practitioners, patients, and other stakeholders seamlessly. It allows patients to book appointments with various healthcare professionals in their area, 24/7, via phone, tablet, or PC.

Discovery Vitality, the largest global platform for behaviour change, supports the insurance products of leading insurers worldwide, influencing 30 million lives in over 40 markets. Established by Discovery in South Africa, the Vitality model has been promoting behaviour change among its clients for over 25 years.

The partnership with RecoMed, which includes over 1,000 approved Discovery Vitality providers, enables members to find convenient locations, including pharmacies, GPs, and Discovery Stores, with just a few clicks. Since April 2024, the platform's user-friendly interface has facilitated over 20,000 bookings, enhancing efficiency for both independent members and corporate clients.

This collaboration has significantly modernised and accelerated access to healthcare services for Discovery Vitality members, improving their overall experience.
