UAE-based proptech startup Keyper has raised US$11 million in a Series A funding round led by Speedinvest, one of Europe's leading venture capital firms.

The round also attracted participation from NeoVentures (Mashreq's Corporate Venture Capital Fund), Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF), Property Finder, Arab National Bank, Ellington Properties, Dar Ventures, and Abbey Road Investment Group.

The funding strengthens Keyper's ambition to become the operating system for residential real estate across the UAE by combining digital rent payments, property management software, and embedded financial services into a single platform.

The latest equity investment follows Keyper's previously announced US$30 million Sukuk financing facility from Franklin Templeton, providing additional capital to accelerate expansion.

What Does Keyper Do?

Founded to modernise one of the GCC's largest yet least digitised financial flows, Keyper enables tenants to split annual rental obligations into manageable monthly payments while allowing landlords to receive rent upfront.

Unlike traditional rent-financing providers, Keyper integrates multiple services into one ecosystem:

  • Monthly digital rent payments
  • Property management software
  • Embedded financial services
  • Owner financing solutions
  • Landlord liquidity products

The company has established strategic partnerships with:

PartnerStrategic Role
Dubai Land Department (DLD)Digital rental ecosystem
Abu Dhabi Advanced Real Estate Services (ADRES)Property digitisation
Property FinderProperty marketplace integration
VisaDigital payments infrastructure
MashreqBanking and embedded finance

These partnerships support Keyper's Rent Now, Pay Monthly platform while accelerating the UAE's broader real estate digital transformation agenda.

Why Is Digital Rent Becoming a Major Opportunity in the UAE?

Dubai's rental market continues to expand alongside population growth and rising housing demand.

According to ANB Capital, Dubai recorded more than AED100 billion (US$27.2 billion) in tenancy contracts during 2025, yet the majority of rental payments are still completed through post-dated cheques rather than digital recurring payments.

This creates a significant opportunity for fintech-enabled property infrastructure.

Since launching, Keyper has achieved several notable milestones:

These figures illustrate growing demand for flexible rental payment solutions as digital financial infrastructure matures across the UAE.

Why Did Investors Back Keyper?

Investors believe Keyper addresses a structural inefficiency in one of the Middle East's largest recurring payment markets.

Rana Abdel Latif, Partner at Speedinvest, said the firm's investment thesis centered on execution rather than market size.

She noted that Keyper combines payments, financing, and property management to solve long-standing challenges for both tenants and landlords, creating a more seamless residential rental experience.

Mashreq's Executive Vice President and NeoVentures CEO Amith Rajan described the investment as the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at modernising rental payments while expanding embedded financial services throughout the UAE.

Meanwhile, Dubai Future District Fund Managing Director Nader AlBastaki said greater rental flexibility directly supports Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to position Dubai among the world's leading cities for business, talent, and innovation.

How Does Keyper Fit into the UAE's Digital Economy?

Keyper's expansion aligns with several national digital transformation initiatives across the UAE.

Its partnerships with the Dubai Land Department, Dubai Future District Fund, and Mashreq demonstrate increasing collaboration between startups, financial institutions, and government-backed organisations.

The company also joins a rapidly expanding UAE proptech ecosystem supported by innovation hubs including Hub71, venture investors such as Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), and digital infrastructure initiatives across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

As digital payments become standard across sectors, residential real estate remains one of the largest untapped opportunities for embedded finance.

How Will Keyper Use the New Funding?

Keyper plans to deploy the Series A capital across several growth initiatives:

  • Expand its monthly rental payment platform
  • Increase adoption among institutional landlords
  • Serve larger residential portfolios
  • Launch new financing products for property owners
  • Expand landlord liquidity solutions
  • Strengthen its property management ecosystem
  • Enhance embedded financial services

CEO and Co-Founder Omar Abu Innab said the investment validates Keyper's long-term vision of creating a fully digital property ownership and rental experience for landlords and tenants alike.

What Does This Mean for the UAE Proptech Market?

The funding highlights growing investor confidence in infrastructure-focused proptech businesses that combine fintech and real estate.

Rather than operating solely as a rent financing provider, Keyper is positioning itself as the digital infrastructure layer connecting payments, property management, financing, and future capital markets.

As recurring rental cash flows become increasingly digitised, transparent, and predictable, they could unlock new opportunities in private credit, securitisation, and institutional real estate investment across the GCC.

With more than US$44 million in rental financing, US$6 billion in supported property value, and backing from leading regional and international investors, Keyper is emerging as one of the UAE's fastest-growing proptech platforms.
