ValU, a prominent financial technology platform in the MENA region, has announced a strategic partnership with Ship Blu and PayTabs Egypt to revolutionize payment solutions for e-commerce in Egypt. This collaboration allows customers to use their ValU account balance to pay for purchases delivered by Ship Blu through the myBlu app, even if the online store is outside ValU’s merchant network. PayTabs Egypt will ensure secure payment processing, facilitating the shift from "cash-on-delivery" to "payment-on-delivery" (PoD).

The partnership aims to support e-commerce merchants and customers by providing advanced digital payment options, contributing to Egypt's move towards a cashless society. Through the myBlu app, ValU customers can now easily pay using their balance, simplifying the process. The app already supports multiple payment methods, including credit cards, e-wallets, and financing options from ValU.

Moutaz Lotfi, Head of Business Development at ValU, remarked that this agreement marks a key milestone in ValU’s effort to offer flexible financial solutions. The partnership enables customers to pay in installments upon receiving deliveries, bridging the gap between traditional cash payments and digital methods.

Ali Nasser, co-founder of Ship Blu, highlighted the rapid shift from cash-on-delivery to payment-on-delivery, aligning with Egypt’s digital economy. Ship Blu’s integrated infrastructure is driving this transition, offering customers an enhanced shopping experience.

Haitham Morsi, Regional Director of PayTabs Egypt, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that this step will drive digital transformation and increase reliance on modern financial technologies in Egypt.
