Ubeya Secures $10M for Its Growing Temporary Workforce Platform
Yuval Weinbaum - Co-Founder & CTO; Omri Dekalo - Co-Founder & CEO
Israeli startup Ubeya, specializing in temporary workforce management, has secured $10 million in its latest funding round, led by U.S.-based EGP in its first Israeli investment. Additional investors included venture capital firms MoreVC and Magma, who had supported previous rounds. Before this latest investment, Ubeya had raised $5 million in earlier stages.
Founded in 2017 by Omri Dekalo and Yuval Weinbaum, the company currently employs 25 people and is expanding its team. Ubeya’s platform connects employers in need of temporary staff with workers seeking flexible jobs, without the need for long-term commitments. The platform is widely used in Europe, managing workforce systems for sports venues such as Wembley and prominent football clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham. Ubeya has also handled staffing for major events including the UEFA Champions League final, Wimbledon, and concerts for stars like Taylor Swift and the Foo Fighters.
Operating in Israel as well, with clients including event halls and catering services, Ubeya’s app boasts over 250,000 active users. It efficiently manages tasks for both employers and workers, offering tools for recruitment, payroll, and event planning, while also allowing workers to view ratings and wages upfront.
