UAE-based traveltech The Digital Hotelier raises pre-Seed round
As reported by Wamda, The Digital Hotelier, a travel technology startup based in the UAE, has received a pre-Seed investment worth six figures from Select Ventures Holding and a group of angel investors from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The company, founded in 2022 by Qutaiba Alali and Ali Fouad, offers a software solution that enables tourists and guests to book and pay for hotel services like room service, spas, food, and entertainment, among others. Their solution caters to hotel apartments and holiday homes offering short stays and supports multiple languages.
Dubai has over 14 million visitors annually, making it a significant destination for the tourism industry. Alali said, "While hotels have made strides in this direction, the ordering process still relies heavily on direct communication, which can be a daunting task for tourists, particularly those who face language barriers."
The Digital Hotelier has implemented innovative solutions to streamline the ordering process, ensuring all guests can enjoy a hassle-free stay, regardless of their familiarity with regional ordering platforms.
The platform also allows guests to access options outside the hotel if a requested service is unavailable on the premises. The funds received will be used to expedite product development, expand the company's scope and reach, and grow its team, according to Alali.
