Travel startup DHARMA, based in Abu Dhabi, has successfully secured $4.7 million in pre-Series A funding, surpassing its initial target due to strong investor interest.
This funding round was led by Convivialite Ventures from San Francisco, known for their investment in Atmosfy, and saw significant participation from market-focused FJ Labs, business magnate Stephen Ross, and media giant Liontree.
Notable contributors also include Mubadala-backed Shorooq Partners, Shark Tank's Matt Higgins, football legend Eric Cantona, consumer fund Goodwater, and Skift founder Rafat Ali.
DHARMA plans to utilize this investment, which brings their total funding to $10 million, to further enhance their offerings by adding renowned creators and expanding into diverse sectors like culinary, sports, fashion, and lifestyle tourism.
In the wake of the pandemic, this financial boost positions DHARMA to potentially disrupt the travel industry.
