Morocco-based ToumAI, an innovative company specializing in artificial intelligence technology, has successfully secured EUR 1 million (approximately US$ 1 million) in pre-seed funding. This investment will significantly support its mission to provide personalized, adaptive, and sustainable customer experience (CX) solutions on a global scale.

ToumAI is revolutionizing the customer experience landscape by tackling the complexities associated with multilingual communication, cultural nuances, generational preferences, and emotional intricacies. The company’s AI-first solutions, part of its HolistiCX suite, utilize a distinctive Compound AI architecture that optimizes performance while maintaining minimal computational demands.

By integrating large open-source models with customized proprietary models, ToumAI enhances various applications, including voice-driven interfaces, improves interactive voice response (IVR) systems, and facilitates advanced churn detection capabilities.

The company’s business model is designed to offer scalable application programming interfaces (APIs) that seamlessly integrate data across different departments, providing actionable insights that enhance global customer relations. This ensures that every customer interaction resonates on a personal level, thereby improving overall satisfaction.

In 2024, ToumAI expanded its customer base to include key markets such as Morocco, Senegal, and Malta, with plans to launch soon in Tunisia. The recent EUR 1 million (US$ 1 million) seed funding round, led by Launch Africa Ventures, will further facilitate this expansion. Other participants in the funding round include Madica Ventures, Orange Ventures, Digital Africa, GO Ventures, and business angel Bruno Akpaka, with additional support from BPI France.
