TaleMonster Games Raises $7M Seed Round to Reinvent Mobile Gaming
15 May 2025•
TaleMonster Games, founded by an experienced team that has worked together for years at Peak Games, raised $7 million in a seed round led by General Catalyst. The round was also attended by a16z Speedrun, Arcadia, and Ludus Ventures.
Aiming to bring a different breath to mobile games, TaleMonster Games plans to expand their team and develop their technical infrastructure with their new investment. Their aim is to make game production more systematic and to create productions that offer unexpected experiences to players.
TaleMonster Games co-founder and CEO İrem Sümer describes their team with these words: “We are a team with a passion for games and high curiosity. The reason we founded TaleMonster was that we realized something was missing from the games we loved. Mobile games have become too predictable. We want to offer players an evolving experience full of surprises.”
The founding team consists of people who have worked at important studios such as Peak Games in the past and have taken part in the most successful projects in the sector. They aim to meet the expectations of today's gamers by combining their technical knowledge with creative ideas. "Mobile gamers are much more selective now. They can immediately tell if a game has been made with care," says Sümer, emphasizing that every project should value the player's interest and time.
In an industry where thousands of games are released every year and most are quickly forgotten, TaleMonster aims to create a lasting culture. Not content with a single hit game, the team wants to produce multiple remarkable titles in the long run. Match Valley, the first example of this vision, stands out as a game where users spend an average of 52 minutes per day.
