Swyt Raises Seed Capital to Tackle IT Sector Challenges in the Gulf

By Staff Writer, 15 July 2024

Swyt, a UAE-based firm that offers an all-in-one platform to simplify and secure IT operations for businesses, has successfully completed a significant seed funding round. This infusion of capital will drive Swyt's efforts to enhance its platform through accelerated research and development, and expand its presence throughout the Gulf region. The funding was provided by Business Angels who specialize in new-tech investments, motivated by the potential to introduce innovative solutions to the area. While Swyt's model is a pioneering concept in the Gulf, it is already gaining traction in the US and Europe.

Swyt has pinpointed three critical issues plaguing the IT sector. First, increasingly complex IT operations cause each employee to lose over 109 hours annually dealing with IT problems. Second, IT security threats are rampant, with nearly 90% of businesses lacking basic IT security and compliance solutions. Third, rising costs are a major concern, with IT expenses having surged 2.3 times between 2018 and 2023, according to a Gartner report.

Swyt's Software as a Service (SaaS) aims to tackle these challenges by streamlining and securing IT operations using innovative AI-powered IT products. The platform manages, secures, and tracks all devices, applications, and software, facilitating seamless employee onboarding and offboarding. Swyt's Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution enforces IT policies such as data encryption, multi-factor authentication, password management, and single sign-on, thereby securing IT environments and protecting businesses.

Additionally, Swyt's real-time IT helpdesk offers support to employees directly via Slack, Teams, or WhatsApp.
