Solos AirGo Vision: Smart Glasses Redefining Wearable Technology

By Staff Writer, 02 July 2024

Solos, known for its audio-focused smart glasses, is stepping up its game with the upcoming release of the Solos AirGo Vision. Unlike its current models, which primarily offer audio functionalities, the AirGo Vision will incorporate a camera for hands-free video recording.

Scheduled for launch later this year, these smart glasses will also integrate OpenAI's latest GPT-4o AI model. This advanced feature will enable the camera to identify objects and provide real-time answers to questions about what the wearer sees.

Similar to Solos' existing models, the AirGo Vision will feature a modular frame system, allowing users to easily swap out the camera module. This flexibility caters to different social settings where camera use might not be appropriate, offering alternatives like sun shades or a different aesthetic. Additional frames will be available for purchase, ranging from $89 to $129.

The smart glasses will also include notification LEDs designed to alert users to incoming calls or emails. Solos claims these glasses can seamlessly integrate with Google Gemini and Anthropic's Claude AI models. Like competitors such as Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses, the AirGo Vision will support voice commands for answering queries, although it lacks a traditional display aside from the notification LEDs.
