Sanari Capital, a South African private equity firm, has closed its Sanari 3S Growth Fund at R1.5 billion (about $80 million). The fund targets mid-market African businesses driven by technology, innovation, and sectoral growth.

CEO Samantha Pokroy emphasized the milestone as a testament to investor confidence in Sanari’s strategy. With four investments already made and a robust pipeline, the fund aims to deliver strong returns while driving ground-level impact.

Key institutional investors include the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), Alexforbes Investments, 27four Black Business Growth Fund, Telkom Retirement Fund, Motor Industry Retirement Funds, RisCura, and the National Fund for Municipal Workers.

Sanari will offer investments of up to R250 million ($14 million) to help businesses scale and grow across the continent.
