RedBird IMI, a joint venture between New York's RedBird Capital and Abu Dhabi's International Media Investments (IMI), has completed its largest acquisition since its inception in December 2022 by purchasing All3Media for $1.45 billion.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone for the joint venture, cementing its presence in the global media landscape.

The deal, which involved the purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery and Liberty Global's stakes in All3Media, received regulatory approval from authorities in the US, UK, and Germany.

With this acquisition, RedBird IMI aims to leverage All3Media's extensive production capabilities and expand its influence in the media industry.

Jeff Zucker, CEO of RedBird IMI, will take on the role of chairman of the All3Media board. Meanwhile, All3Media’s current CEO Jane Turton and COO Sara Geater will continue to lead the company, ensuring continuity in its operations.

All3Media, headquartered in London, is the UK's largest independent production company, overseeing 50 production labels that produce popular television programs such as "Call the Midwife" and "Fleabag."

The company operates in several countries, including the UK, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, and New Zealand, and includes prominent labels like Studio Lambert, Raw, Two Brothers Pictures, Silverback Films, New Pictures, and Neal Street Productions.

This strategic acquisition by RedBird IMI underscores the joint venture's commitment to growing its media portfolio and enhancing its production capabilities on a global scale.
