Polymorph Becomes Part of Octoco Group in Strategic Move

By Staff Writer, 06 July 2024

Octoco, a swiftly expanding group of tech companies headquartered in Stellenbosch, has acquired Polymorph, a top South African software product development consultancy. Polymorph, renowned for its comprehensive approach to product development—from early-stage research, ideation, and design thinking to user experience and interface design, prototyping, and full implementation—has been a preferred partner for many of South Africa’s leading brands over the past 12 years.

Founded in 2020 by G-J van Rooyen, following a resolved investor dispute with his previous startup Custos, Octoco offers extensive engineering services, including software development, hardware engineering, and CTO support. The company also invests in tech startups, exemplified by its support for Henlo Coffee, which recently launched its machines in Vida e Caffè.

With the acquisition, Polymorph joins the Octoco Group, becoming a sister company to Octoco Consulting, both based in Techno Park, Stellenbosch. This strategic move aims to bolster Octoco's capabilities and market presence in the tech industry.
