27 August 2024•
Ghanaian fintech company PayBox has launched Buddy, a new financial platform aimed at providing young Africans with greater access to inclusive financial services. Known for leading innovations in cross-border payments and fund transfers for SMEs across 23 African countries, PayBox is expanding its offerings with this comprehensive tool.
Buddy, a mobile application that integrates blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI), is designed to break down traditional financial barriers. It helps users combat inflation, reduce transaction costs, streamline cross-border payments, and enhance investment returns.
A key feature of Buddy is its AI-driven interface, currently in beta testing, which enables users to manage their finances through conversational interactions, offering personalized advice for better financial decisions.
Positioned as an alternative to major financial services like PayPal and Monzo, Buddy stands out with its focus on the African market and blockchain technology. The platform is available both as a mobile app and a decentralized application (dApp), providing an easy-to-use interface that empowers users to manage their personal and business finances effectively.
