Ooredoo Tunisia Boosts Telecom Capabilities Through LigaData Partnership
Ooredoo Tunisia, a leading telecommunications company, has recently inked a strategic partnership agreement with LigaData, a US-based telecom solutions provider.
The collaboration aims to fortify Ooredoo's extensive data management capabilities, paving the way for improved customer experiences, heightened revenue generation, and increased operational efficiency.
Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater, CEO of Ooredoo, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "With the LigaData data platform, we can harness the power of open source technology to unlock new perspectives from our data and boost innovation."
This alliance aligns with Ooredoo Group's overarching strategy to spearhead the digital transformation of its network across multiple markets, responding to the escalating demand and continuous growth in telecommunications traffic.
In March 2023, the company entered into a significant agreement with Nokia for the modernization of its network infrastructure in Algeria and Tunisia.
Furthermore, Ooredoo Tunisia, a subsidiary of Ooredoo Group, introduced IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) and voice over LTE (VoLTE) in November 2023.
By teaming up with LigaData, Ooredoo Tunisia aims to elevate the quality of its telecom services to cater to the increasing demands of its existing subscribers and attract new clientele.
As of October 2023, the company boasts 6.7 million mobile subscribers, securing a substantial market share of 41%, according to data from the Tunisian National Telecommunications Authority (INT).
Ooredoo Tunisia also commands a noteworthy presence in the fixed telephony market with a share of 13.9% and dominates the mobile Internet market with an impressive 42% share.
