Odigos Attracts $13 Million to Enhance Distributed Tracing with Automated eBPF Solutions
Odigos, a Tel Aviv-based provider of an observability platform leveraging eBPF technology, has secured $13 million in a funding round led by Venture Guides. The round also saw participation from Salesforce Ventures, Mango Capital, Firestreak Ventures, and several angel investors, including notable figures such as Martin Mao, CEO and Co-founder of Chronosphere, Christine Yen, CEO and Co-founder of Honeycomb, and Ben Sigelman, Co-founder and CEO of Lightstep (acquired by ServiceNow).
Founded in 2023 by Ari Recht (CEO) and Eden Federman (CTO), Odigos is focused on simplifying distributed tracing, enabling users to track data requests across their systems without modifying their code or affecting system performance. The company’s platform utilizes eBPF and OpenTelemetry to diagnose and resolve performance issues while supporting a variety of programming languages and frameworks.
The newly raised funds will be used to expand the company's operations and enhance its development efforts. Odigos' core technology automates the implementation of distributed tracing, offering developers automatic context propagation for accurate tracking within OpenTelemetry, one of the most widely used open-source technologies after Kubernetes. This solution allows customers to integrate with any observability tool seamlessly.
