Ankara-based Milvus Robotics has closed a new $4.5 million investment round. TT Ventures GSYF led the round, while previous investors APY Ventures also rejoined. The Regional Development Fund managed by the Turkish Development Fund, Maxis Ventures and Inveo Ventures were also among the investors.
Founded in 2011, Milvus Robotics develops autonomous mobile robot solutions, especially for internal logistics processes in factories and warehouses. The company's products include robots with load-carrying capacities ranging from 100 kilograms to 2 tons, advanced fleet management software, and infrastructures that can be easily integrated into different systems. These systems focus on automating processes such as material handling, stacking, dynamic stocking, and loading/unloading.
Milvus' robot technologies are currently actively used in the operations of major companies such as GE, Nissan, Unilever, Yazaki and General Dynamics in the USA, Europe and Turkey. The company is among the approved global suppliers.
After the investment, the company's goal is to be more visible, especially in the US, Europe, UK and Middle East markets. In this context, it is planned to strengthen sales and after-sales service networks, establish new business partnerships and develop more advanced products supported by artificial intelligence. The company is also preparing to expand its product portfolio to cover all operations such as receiving from trucks, stacking and reloading in the warehouse.
Milvus Robotics currently operates with a team of 100 people from its offices in Ankara and Atlanta. The new investment is stated to be an important step towards increasing both technical capacity and presence in the international market.
