Microsoft's $2.1 Billion AI and Cloud Investment in Spain
Microsoft, the renowned U.S. software corporation, has unveiled plans to bolster its artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure in Spain with a substantial investment totaling $2.1 billion over the course of the next two years.
Brad Smith, Vice Chair and President of the company, made the announcement via a post on the popular social media platform X.
This strategic initiative closely follows Microsoft's recent declaration of a significant AI-focused investment in Germany, amounting to 3.2 billion euros ($3.45 billion) over a similar two-year period.
Despite requests from Reuters for additional information regarding the specifics of the investment in Spain, Microsoft has yet to provide a response.
Brad Smith emphasized that this investment transcends mere establishment of data centers, portraying it as a manifestation of Microsoft's enduring 37-year dedication to Spain.
He underscored the company's commitment to bolstering Spain's security, fostering its development, and spearheading digital transformation across its government, businesses, and populace.
