Meta AI Chatbot to Feature Celebrity Voices Including Judi Dench and John Cena
Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, is preparing to introduce a new feature for its Meta AI chatbot, featuring voices from renowned celebrities like Judi Dench, Kristen Bell, John Cena, Awkwafina, and Keegan-Michael Key. This week, users will be able to choose from these star-studded voices for the digital assistant, offering a personalized audio experience. Meta will reveal this upgrade during its annual Connect conference, starting Wednesday.
Additionally, the company is set to showcase its augmented-reality glasses and future hardware plans, including its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, which already integrate the Meta AI chatbot's audio feature. The celebrity voices will initially be available in the U.S. and other English-speaking markets through Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Earlier this summer, Bloomberg reported that Meta was negotiating with celebrities for voice partnerships. Recently, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg promoted the new feature by posting a video of himself and John Cena wearing the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, signaling the official launch.
