Saudi Arabia-based game development studio Majestic Mind Games has raised $1.45 million in a funding round co-led by Merak Capital and Impact46.

The Jeddah-based studio will use the capital to develop new original intellectual property (IP) and build games targeting international markets. The investment comes as Saudi Arabia seeks to develop a globally competitive gaming industry under its National Gaming and Esports Strategy and Vision 2030.

The Kingdom’s gaming sector is projected to contribute more than SAR50 billion (US$13.33 billion) to Saudi Arabia’s GDP by 2030, highlighting the government’s ambition to turn gaming and esports into a significant component of the digital economy.

What does Majestic Mind Games develop?

Founded by Lujain Albukhari and Majed Anbar, Majestic Mind Games is an indie game studio headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The company focuses on creating strategic games designed to entertain while encouraging curiosity, creativity and independent thinking.

The studio's team includes:

Majed AnbarCo-founder, CEO & Game Director

Majestic Mind Games primarily develops games for PC, while exploring opportunities to bring selected titles to console and mobile platforms. Its debut title, Tri Survive, launched on Steam on September 18, 2025, combining action-roguelite and fantasy RPG elements with a gameplay mechanic that allows players to control three heroes.

The studio has also experimented with smaller strategy, puzzle and platformer titles as part of its broader development portfolio.

How has NEOM supported Majestic Mind Games?

Majestic Mind Games has previously received support through NEOM's Level Up Gaming Accelerator, a program launched in 2023 to help Saudi game studios develop their products, business models and international market opportunities.

The accelerator provides participating studios with funding opportunities, mentorship, production support and access to publishers and investors. NEOM currently lists 15 funded game studios across its first three cohorts, including Majestic Mind Games.

The program has also produced measurable ecosystem outcomes: more than 170 jobs have been created through the initiative, while its portfolio has recorded 100% survivability to date, according to NEOM and Saudi Press Agency.

Majestic Mind Games was also named Best Games Startup at the 2025 MENA Games Industry Awards, following the recognition of another NEOM Level Up graduate, Starvania Studio, in 2024.

What will the new funding enable?

The $1.45 million investment from Merak Capital and Impact46 is expected to give Majestic Mind Games additional resources to scale its development pipeline and pursue original IP for audiences beyond Saudi Arabia.

The funding will support several priorities:

  • Developing new original game IP.
  • Expanding the studio's portfolio of PC titles.
  • Exploring console and mobile adaptations for selected games.
  • Building games designed for international audiences.
  • Strengthening the studio's ability to compete in global gaming markets.

For investors, the deal reflects a broader shift from supporting Saudi gaming startups primarily as local market opportunities toward backing studios capable of creating exportable intellectual property.

Why is Saudi Arabia investing in globally competitive game studios?

Saudi Arabia is building its gaming ecosystem through a combination of government-backed programs, private investment and infrastructure aimed at developing local talent and commercially viable studios.

NEOM's Level Up accelerator is one component of that ecosystem. Since its launch in 2023, the program has helped Saudi studios move from early-stage development toward commercialisation, international publishing and investment.

The strategy is increasingly focused on producing studios and IP that can compete outside the Kingdom. Previous Level Up graduate Fahy Studio, for example, secured an international publishing agreement with UK-based Kwalee and raised $1.75 million from Impact46 and Merak Capital.

Majestic Mind Games represents another stage of this evolution: a Saudi-founded studio using local ecosystem support and private capital to develop original games with international ambitions.

The $1.45 million round therefore extends beyond a single studio's growth. It signals continued investor interest in Saudi Arabia's emerging game-development pipeline and the potential for locally created IP to reach global players.

What does the investment mean for Saudi gaming?

The funding gives Majestic Mind Games greater capacity to move from individual game releases toward a broader portfolio of original IP.

That distinction matters for Saudi Arabia's gaming ambitions. A sustainable domestic industry requires more than game consumption; it also requires local studios, developers, intellectual property, publishing relationships and commercially successful products.

With gaming projected to contribute more than $13.3 billion to Saudi GDP by 2030, investments such as Majestic Mind Games' latest round could help strengthen the pipeline of Saudi studios targeting international markets.

For Majestic Mind Games, the next phase will be about turning its $1.45 million in new capital into games that can travel beyond the Kingdom—and establishing a Saudi game studio with a durable international footprint.
