Livzym Biotechnologies Receives Investment from Lallemand Bio-Ingredients to Meet Growing Enzyme Demand
Lallemand Bio-Ingredients, a Canadian company, has announced an equity investment through its Swiss subsidiary, Danstar Ferment AG, in Livzym Biotechnologies. Based in Turkey, Livzym specializes in fungi-based enzymes used across various industrial sectors.
The investment, bolstered by additional funds from Turkish investors, aims to support the expansion of Livzym’s production facility in Tuzla, near Istanbul. This expansion is designed to address the growing demand for sustainable enzymes in industries such as food, textiles, paper, animal feed, and biofuels.
Lars Asferg, President of Lallemand Bio-Ingredients, emphasized the company's commitment to leveraging biotechnology to tackle global challenges related to nutrition, health, and the environment. He noted that integrating Livzym’s enzyme technology into Lallemand's offerings will enhance their product range with high-performance solutions.
