Tunisian fintech company Konnect Networks, founded by Amin Ben Abderrahman in January 2021, has raised $1.3 million in seed funding from Founders Factory Africa, now rebranded as 54 Collective. The funds, secured on October 1, 2024, will help Konnect enhance its payment solutions and improve financial inclusion across Africa.

This investment is a key step in Konnect’s mission to build infrastructure supporting cross-border payments, addressing the reliance on cash for transactions in the region. As fintech continues to grow in Africa, driven by smartphone adoption and a tech-savvy population, Konnect aims to overcome regulatory and infrastructural challenges. The company plans to use the capital to bolster its technology, expand its team, and refine its platform to serve diverse business needs.
