Hyperever, a domestic robotics startup operating within the ITU ARI Teknokent ecosystem, has raised $2.2 million in funding led by Öncü GSYO, Doğan Holding's venture capital firm. Individual investor Murat Büyümez also participated in the seed round.
The company stands out as one of Turkey's leading initiatives in advanced robotic systems with its AI-powered four-legged robot dog, Proteo V1. The Hyperever team, currently conducting R&D at Istanbul Technical University's Ayazağa Campus, states that Proteo can carry a 35-kilogram payload, operate continuously for 4 to 6 hours in challenging terrain, and deliver high performance in low temperatures. The robot is expected to be resistant to dust, water, and impacts, and meet military standards.
The company will use the investment to accelerate its R&D processes, strengthen its production infrastructure, expand its promotional activities, and expand into international markets. Hyperever plans to launch Proteo and begin mass production by the end of 2025.
Prof. Dr. Attila Dikbaş, General Manager of ITU ARI Teknokent, stated that Hyperever is a startup born within our ecosystem, drawing its engineering roots from Istanbul Technical University's strong academic tradition and shaping the future with its vision. Dikbaş stated that this investment, led by Doğan Holding, is a clear demonstration of confidence in both Hyperever's technology production capabilities and Turkey's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
In the statement made by Doğan Holding, it was emphasized that artificial intelligence and robotic technologies are among the company's strategic investment priorities.
Hyperever, operating with an 18-person engineering team, continues its operations under the leadership of its founding partners, Çayan Baykal (General Manager), Yunus Demir (Hardware Leader), and Ömer Demirci (Software Leader). While Proteo aims to achieve IP67-68 and MIL-STD certifications, the initiative also aims to bring Turkey's engineering prowess to the global stage by establishing collaborations in Europe and the Middle East.
