HealthTech HealsGood has closed a £1.5m ($1.6m) funding round to revolutionise staffing and operational efficiency across the NHS.

The oversubscribed round was led by Fuel Ventures, who have backed HealsGood's mission of dramatically reducing patient waiting times and NHS service delivery failures across the UK.

The firm is dedicated to tackling challenges faced by the NHS by leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence. Recent data reveals significant operational pressures faced by NHS trusts, with a substantial percentage experiencing service delivery failures, driving up patient waiting lists and negatively impacting patient outcomes.

HealsGood says its flagship solution, Flexzo AI, directly confronts critical NHS inefficiencies by providing an insourcing solution built specifically for NHS hospitals, which helps them to run additional clinics and operating theatre sessions internally rather than outsourcing to external providers.

Flexzo’s collaborative staffing platform gives NHS trusts immediate access to a fully compliant talent pool of over 30,000 healthcare professionals, streamlining the management of staffing gaps and significantly reducing waiting lists.

The £1.5m ($1.6m) funding will enable HealsGood to further enhance its technology platforms, expand its collaborative staff bank, and accelerate the adoption of Flexzo AI across additional NHS trusts nationwide.

“We are thrilled by the strong investor backing for our vision to fundamentally improve NHS service delivery,” said HealsGood founder and CEO, Jack Henderson.

“This £1.5 million investment allows us to scale our technology more rapidly, helping NHS trusts eliminate unnecessary administrative burden, reduce reliance on costly external providers, and crucially, get patients the timely care they need.

“We’re dedicated to empowering hospitals with solutions that make a real-world difference for patients and healthcare professionals alike.”

Mark Pearson, managing partner of Fuel Ventures, added: “There is a clear market need and enormous potential for cost savings and efficiency gains within the NHS.

“HealsGood's AI-powered platforms ensure substantial savings are retained within NHS trusts, thereby directly improving patient care outcomes. We’re excited to be backing Jack and the team as they deliver on this very important challenge.”
