Google Cloud Teams Up with Mistral AI to Leverage AI Infrastructure
Google Cloud (GOOGL.O) and Paris-based generative AI startup, Mistral AI, are joining forces to enable the distribution of Mistral AI's language models on Google's advanced infrastructure.
The partnership entails Mistral AI utilizing Google Cloud's AI-optimized infrastructure, including the powerful TPU Accelerators, to conduct extensive testing, development, and scaling of its Large Language Models (LLMs).
The collaboration is designed to leverage Google Cloud's robust security and privacy standards to ensure the integrity and protection of Mistral AI's innovative language models.

Large language models, such as those developed by Mistral AI, undergo training on vast datasets to generate text and various other forms of content.
Mistral AI, founded by former AI researchers from Meta (META.O) and Google (GOOGL.O), recently announced a significant milestone in its journey.
On Monday, the company revealed that it successfully raised an impressive 385 million euros ($415 million) in its second funding round within a span of seven months.
This substantial funding round was led by prominent investors, including Andreessen-Horowitz and LightSpeed Ventures.
The collaboration with Google Cloud comes at a pivotal moment for Mistral AI as it aims to capitalize on this substantial funding and further advance its cutting-edge language models with the support of Google's state-of-the-art AI infrastructure.
