GIGM and Travelstart Unveil Unified Travel Booking Experience in Nigeria

By Staff Writer 30 June 2024

GIG Mobility (GIGM), a leader in tech-driven intercity transportation in West Africa, and Travelstart, a top online travel agency in Africa, have unveiled a groundbreaking strategic partnership to transform travel in Nigeria. This first-of-its-kind collaboration integrates the services of both companies on their respective platforms, offering customers a unified and efficient booking process.

Effective immediately, GIGM users can book flights directly through the GIGM platform, while Travelstart customers can add GIGM’s extensive road transport services to their travel plans. This strategic move simplifies the booking experience by eliminating the need to switch between multiple platforms, saving travelers valuable time.

“By integrating our services, we are eliminating the inconvenience of customers having to navigate multiple platforms and interact with different service providers,” said Enahoro Okhae, CEO of GIGM. “This collaboration allows us to offer a comprehensive travel solution, combining air and road travel options for enhanced convenience.”

Bukky Akomolafe, Country Manager of Travelstart Nigeria, echoed this sentiment, stating, “This landmark partnership unites two industry leaders to provide a seamless travel experience. By integrating our services, we empower travelers to plan and book their entire journey, including flights and road transportation, in one place.”

This strategic alliance offers several benefits to travelers. It provides cost savings through bundled air and bus travel tickets at discounted rates, enhances convenience with a unified customer service approach, and expands access to a wider range of destinations and transportation options across Nigeria.
