Edtech Pioneer FLOW to Reach Across Africa and the UK
FLOW, a Nigerian edtech startup known for its interactive educational content rooted in positive psychology and social-emotional learning, is preparing to extend its reach beyond Nigeria to other African nations and the United Kingdom.
Morayo Ojikutu, the founder of FLOW, revealed to Disrupt Africa that her personal educational challenges inspired the creation of FLOW. She recognized that academic success is not the only indicator of personal growth.
Founded with a mission to broaden the scope of education beyond traditional academics, FLOW has developed digital platforms for individual learners and educational institutions alike. Ojikutu aims to nurture a generation of youth who live lives grounded in personal values and purpose.
“Our educational platform is designed to promote self-improvement and fulfillment, providing the youth with the necessary resources and knowledge to unlock their utmost potential,” Ojikutu explained.
She pointed out the deficiencies of conventional education systems, which often overlook students' unique abilities, focusing mainly on rote learning while neglecting the development of essential soft skills like emotional intelligence and creativity.
“By embedding crucial life skills within our educational content, FLOW bridges this critical gap, equipping children for the challenges of life, not just exams. This holistic approach distinguishes us in a market that is eager for innovative educational solutions,” Ojikutu stated.
