Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, inaugurated Deloitte’s Innovation Hub in Cairo, a specialized technology center marking Deloitte’s first global hub for exporting digital services from Egypt. The hub, launched with a $30 million investment over three years, reinforces Deloitte’s longstanding presence in the country as a consultancy and accounting firm.

The opening ceremony included notable attendees like Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of Egypt’s IT Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Richard Houston, CEO of Deloitte North and South Europe, Moataz Al-Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, and Hany Girgis, the partner leading the Cairo Hub.

Deloitte, with a 175-year legacy, provides services in auditing, tax and legal advisory, financial advisory, and risk consulting, serving around 90% of Fortune Global 500 companies. The Cairo hub adds to Deloitte’s network of global centers, delivering cross-border tech solutions and exporting Egyptian digital services.

Since its inception, the Cairo hub has grown rapidly, employing 350 Egyptian professionals, with plans to expand this workforce to 5,000 in the coming years. Minister Talaat highlighted Egypt’s growing digital export industry, reaching $6.2 billion in 2023, and emphasized the country’s appeal for foreign tech investments, thanks to its young, tech-savvy talent pool.
