South Africa’s Edge Growth has secured $2.1 million through the ASISA Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Fund to fuel growth for local SMEs. The ASISA ESD Fund, managed by Edge Growth, targets SMEs with strong potential for positive social and economic impact, essential given South Africa's economic challenges.

With this latest funding, Edge Growth adds to its portfolio of high-impact businesses, which includes legal tech firm TSL Legal, electronics subscription service Rentoza, logistics provider DKN Transport, and home services platform SweepSouth. These enterprises share the ASISA ESD Fund’s goal of building an inclusive economy and creating opportunities for underserved communities.

Edge Growth provides SMEs with more than just capital, offering strategic advisory and market entry support to promote sustainable growth. Established in 2007, the firm now manages over €115 million in assets, addressing obstacles like funding shortages and skills gaps that can hinder SME success. ASISA ESD Fund Chairperson Fay Mukaddam highlighted the fund's focus on projects that generate broad societal benefits, with an emphasis on supporting South Africa’s historically underserved communities.
