EchoTwin AI Secures $8M Seed Round for Expansion

Abu Dhabi-based EchoTwin AI, a developer of artificial intelligence-based urban infrastructure solutions, has raised $8 million in seed funding led by Metis Ventures. Automotive Ventures, Eksim Ventures, Higher Life Ventures, Supernova, and Tesserakt Ventures also participated in the round.

The smart cities sector is experiencing unprecedented momentum driven by rapid urbanization, increasing demand for sustainable infrastructure, and advancements in IoT, artificial intelligence, 5G, and edge computing. EchoTwin AI's platform breaks this cycle. It transforms everyday municipal vehicle fleets into real-time, AI-powered urban sensors, creating a living digital twin of the city. This dynamic model allows cities to transition from reactive maintenance to predictive, self-healing operations. It also automatically identifies and resolves infrastructure and compliance issues before they escalate.

The company's technology combines image recognition and language models. This allows for semantic analysis of issues like traffic violations. EchoTwin AI aims to transform infrastructure maintenance from reactive to predictive, transforming cities into safer, more sustainable, and self-healing systems.

The company is running pilot projects with various municipalities in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. With the global smart cities market expected to reach $4 trillion by 2030, EchoTwin AI plans to accelerate its international expansion with this investment.
