Dubai's automobile industry is set for a significant boost as Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, unveils the 'Dubai Car Market' initiative.

The initiative is the result of a partnership between Dubai Municipality and DP World, aimed at creating the world's largest and most advanced car market. The market will expand from 2.8 million square feet to a staggering 20 million square feet.

This expansion will integrate a range of advanced automotive services, enhancing both operational efficiency and market attractiveness. DP World will spearhead the construction and management of the Dubai Car Market, leveraging its global network to ensure seamless connectivity with 77 ports around the world.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized, “We have mandated DP World to expand the Dubai Car Market, creating a state-of-the-art facility that will redefine the automotive trade globally.”

The new car market will offer commercial services, logistical solutions, and specialized financing options for the automotive sector. It will also serve as a hub for international conferences and specialized events, attracting foreign investments and further cementing Dubai’s position as a global automotive hub.
