Passavant Energy and Environment Limited, a subsidiary of Dubai-listed contractor Drake & Scull PJSC (DSI), has secured a significant contract for the development of a wastewater treatment facility in Saudi Arabia.

This project, valued at $48 million, will be executed in collaboration with a prominent Saudi Arabian contractor.

The endeavor aims to enhance the wastewater treatment infrastructure in Al-Khobar, situated in the Eastern Province of the kingdom.

The upgraded facility will boast a daily processing capacity of 200,000 cubic meters, while also integrating waste-to-energy capabilities.

DSI, currently undergoing a restructuring phase, anticipates its return to trading on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) next month after a hiatus of five years.

Highlighting the significance of this project, DSI emphasized that it represents one of the largest applications of such technology within the kingdom.

The initiative underscores the commitment of both DSI and Passavant Energy and Environment Limited to contribute to sustainable development and address environmental challenges through innovative solutions.
