DP World Sokhna, a division of the global ports operator DP World based in Dubai, has initiated the construction of an $80 million logistics park at the Port of Sokhna.

The groundbreaking ceremony, as reported by the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), saw the presence of Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE; Major General Abdel Majeed Sakr, Governor of Suez; and Urs Moll, Regional Director of DP World Group.

According to the SCZONE press statement, the first phase of the project, valued at $50 million, is set to be completed by the conclusion of 2024.

Encompassing a sprawling area of 300,000 square meters, the logistics park will seamlessly integrate with DP World's existing multipurpose terminal at Ain Sokhna Port.

This strategic development aims to serve various purposes, including logistics, trading, distribution, and value-added activities.

The investment underscores DP World's commitment to expanding its presence and enhancing logistical capabilities in the region.
