South African AI-driven customer service startup, Cue, has secured $500,000 in funding to advance its goal of leveraging cutting-edge large language models (LLM) to enhance customer service.

Established in 2018, Cue empowers businesses to efficiently assist customers through chatbots and live chat on platforms like WhatsApp and social channels.

With a focus on delivering quick, personalized customer service, the startup has already collaborated with over 300 clients and expanded its operations to the United Kingdom.

The Cue platform has demonstrated significant success over the past year across various industries, showcasing impressive results for businesses.

Notable achievements include a:

  • 77x return on investment through automated insurance quotes on WhatsApp
  • 73% reduction in customer service costs for an insurance provider
  • doubled sales conversion rate for an education provider
  • remarkable 95% reduction in print marketing costs for a retailer, coupled with increased sales revenue

With the rising adoption of mobile messaging for business interactions, Cue anticipates a growing shift towards such tools to enhance customer experiences.

Recognizing the fundamental role of customer service in every business, the startup sees substantial potential in their efforts to improve its speed and effectiveness globally.

The funding will aid Cue in providing seamless and efficient customer service experiences, reducing wait times and operational costs for businesses.
