By Staff Writer, 28 March 2024

Compass Capital, a leading private equity firm in Egypt, has joined forces with CI Capital, a prominent investment bank, to introduce the C3 Fund.

This closed-end equity fund is tailored to invest in a curated selection of publicly listed Egyptian companies, marking a significant move in the country's financial landscape.

With an ambitious target size of EGP 3 billion, the C3 Fund anticipates an initial closing of EGP 2 billion by May 2024, drawing pledges from over 10 institutions and banks.

The fund sets its sights on acquiring stakes ranging from 10% to 33% in 10-15 listed entities, enabling substantial governance involvement.

Tarek Abdelrahman, Managing Partner at Compass Capital, hailed the launch, emphasizing its potential to grant investors access to a high-caliber portfolio of Egyptian companies poised for substantial growth.

The C3 Fund's inception builds upon Compass Capital's decade-long track record of delivering robust returns in the Egyptian market.

Managing assets exceeding $1 billion, the firm has consistently demonstrated its prowess across sectors such as healthcare, education, financial services, and consumer goods.

CI Capital, recognized as the "Best Investment Bank in Egypt" by Euromoney in 2023, brings its comprehensive suite of investment banking, asset management, and brokerage services to the partnership, further underlining the strategic significance of the C3 Fund in bolstering Egypt's investment landscape.
