OpenAI Brings Advanced Voice Mode to ChatGPT Web Users
Kevin Weil of OpenAI
OpenAI has expanded its advanced "voice mode" feature to web users, following its exclusive launch for smartphones in September. Kevin Weil, OpenAI’s Chief Product Officer, shared the update on X, noting the new accessibility for ChatGPT users through their browsers.
This tool, leveraging GPT-4’s audio capabilities, enables human-like real-time conversations with ChatGPT. It can respond with emotion and adapt to non-verbal cues, such as speaking speed and tone. Initially available for paid subscribers, including Plus, Enterprise, Teams, and Edu plans, the feature will soon roll out for free to all users.
