Binance and AltSchool Team Up to Bridge Africa’s Digital Skills Gap
Binance, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has partnered with AltSchool Africa to provide full-tuition scholarships to 500 young Africans. Running from January to December 2025, the program aims to bridge Africa’s digital skills gap by offering training in software engineering, cybersecurity, sales, and content creation.
The initiative grants recipients access to AltSchool Africa’s comprehensive programs, combining mentorship, career guidance, and hands-on training to prepare them for high-demand roles in the global digital economy. Applications for the scholarships are now open.
This partnership addresses a critical challenge in Sub-Saharan Africa, where 230 million jobs will require digital skills by 2030, but only 2% of the workforce is currently equipped. Binance and AltSchool aim to change this by empowering young Africans with the expertise needed for the evolving job market.
“This partnership allows us to invest in Africa’s future and equip young talent with tools to become tech innovators,” said Samantha Fuller, Binance spokeswoman. Nifemi Akinwamide of AltSchool Africa echoed the sentiment, highlighting the transformative impact of the collaboration on young lives across the continent.
The initiative aligns with Binance’s mission to foster a more inclusive digital economy, preparing African youth for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond.
